On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Wiraphol Thongma, President of Maejo University, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Workshop to Reducing Carbon at SNOM.” The Physical and Environmental Affairs Division, in collaboration with the Green Office Committee, organized this workshop to engage staff in tangible green office operations. Associate Professor Chakkraphong Phimphimon, Vice President, gave a report. A large number of university executives and staff attended the event at the Phae Phut Building, Maejo University.

This event featured a team of environmental lecturers who provided knowledge and shared their experiences, including theoretical approaches to carbon reduction for organizations, motivating them, and fostering mutual understanding. They also provided practical training on how to make pots from recycled materials and create realistic artificial stones from waste. This workshop utilized waste to create new inventions, reducing the use of raw materials and energy in the manufacturing process. This activity supports the university’s Green Office policy.
