On Sunday, July 20, 2025, Assistant Professor Acting Captain Dr. Jirachai Yomkerd, Assistant President of Maejo University, chaired a meeting with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). Mr. Warinkon Watanarawinin, co-founder of Buffer Box, developer of the Carbonform Green Power platform by PEA, and the co-founders and developers of Hinghoihome, a PEA-branded electricity management system with integrated energy management systems, attended the meeting, which was held at the Phupha Meeting Room, Amnuay Yotsuk Building, Maejo University.

The meeting discussed preparations for the kick-off of the project to enhance energy management and drive toward carbon neutrality by implementing the “Hinghoihome” and “Carbonform” innovations in Maejo University dormitories. These systems will enhance energy management efficiency in the dormitories, providing real-time monitoring and control of electricity usage. This will help promote awareness and encourage energy conservation and efficiency among students and staff, leading to reduced energy costs. It also contributes to the creation of a prototype “smart dormitory,” driving the university toward its Net Zero goal with Carbonform.

Maejo University executives added, “Maejo University is committed to being an environmentally friendly institution. This collaboration with PEA Innovation Hub will strengthen the organization’s energy management capabilities, greenhouse gas management and assessment, and utilize sustainable innovation and technology as a model for other educational institutions to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065.”

Maejo University, in collaboration with PEA Innovation Hub, is preparing to use the innovations “Hinghoihome” and “Carbonform” to become a Green University.
