The Faculty of Agricultural Production, Maejo University, the Thai Orchid Foundation, and the Royal Initiative “Reviving Thai Orchids to the Forest” project organized an activity to educate students about Thai orchids and release four species of Thai orchids to students of Debsirin School, Chiang Mai, on the occasion of World Environment Day, June 5, 2025. The event took place at Debsirin School, Chiang Mai, Nam Bo Luang Subdistrict, San Pa Tong District, Chiang Mai Province. On the same occasion, Dr. Chawinnawat Na Lamphun, Director of Debsirin School, Chiang Mai, welcomed Associate Professor Dr. Puttisarn Krueakam, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Production, Maejo University, Member and Secretary of the Thai Orchid Foundation, and members of the Thai Orchid Foundation’s board, including Chao Phakinnaiyan Chiang Mai, Ms. Tasanee Yaja, and Mr. Winai Saengkaew. This activity aimed to enable students of Debsirin School, Chiang Mai, to participate in the conservation of endangered Thai orchids, creating a learning resource and encouraging student participation in the care and expansion of conservation areas for Thai orchids, an important natural resource.
