On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, Associate Professor Chakkraphong Pimpimon, Vice President of Maejo University, Professor Dr. Thira Thongluea, Dean of Maejo University – Chumphon, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Juthaporn Chanathaworn, Advisor to the Nature and Environment Conservation Club. and student representatives of the university Participated in the national awards ceremony for environmental activities of university youth (Green Youth) for the year 2022.

The Department of Environmental Quality Promotion and the Project Evaluation Committee have considered and evaluated the implementation of the Green Youth Project of Maejo University. The evaluation results are within the gold standard criteria. Currently, there is a network of conservation clubs. At the higher education level across the country, 72 universities joined in driving environmental activities, and in 2022 there was an evaluation of the Green Youth project with clear and concrete results. There are a total of 57 universities, consisting of 10 universities that have passed the gold level standards, 22 universities at the silver level, and 18 universities at the bronze level, and 7 universities that are part of the Green Youth project network, with Mr. Woraphon Chan-ngam, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion ( Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MPS) presided over the presentation of awards honoring the environmental performance of youth within universities (Green Youth) at the national level for the year 2022 at TK Palace Hotel and Convention.
