On July 30, 2025, the Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design, Maejo University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chokanan Wanichlertthanasarn, in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jittra Phiapukeaw, a lecturer in the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science and a mycorrhizal mushroom expert, and Singha Volunteers from the Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi Foundation and Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Rawin Chomphunutthanin, Public Relations Director, jointly launched the “Sustainable Forest Perennials” project, which has been in operation for four consecutive years. The “Sustainable Forest Perennials” project was initiated through collaboration between Singha Volunteers and various network agencies. Its objectives are to restore forests and preserve the environment of watershed forests. It focuses on promoting community awareness of the direct and indirect impacts of deforestation. The project’s objectives are: Planting 2,000 trees of beneficial tree species for both the forest and the community, with 80-90% of the trees planted to survive. This project also received cooperation from various agencies, including Chiang Mai Beverage Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Boon Rawd Brewery, the Chiang Mai Breath Council, Ban Pong Subdistrict Municipality, the Chiang Mai University Forest Restoration Research Unit, Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, Ob Khan National Park, Forest Resource Management Office 1 (Chiang Mai), and a network of Singha Volunteer Students from 13 Northern Institutes.
