On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, Maejo Universityand the Council of University Presidents of Thailand jointly donated masks (N95) to local hospitals that were faced with a shortage of masks in the event of the COVID-19 crisis and medical personnel did not have enough masks to use while on duty. On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Weeraphon Thongma, President of Maejo University along with the administrators of Maejo University acted as the representative to deliver 1,575 masks (N95) to 3 hospitals, namely, Nakhon Phing Hospital in Chiang Mai Province, 700 pieces, Lamphun Hospital in Lamphun Province, 400 pieces and San Sai Hospital in Chiang Mai Province, 475 pieces. Dr. Siripoj Sribanditkul, Senior Deputy Director of Medical Department from Nakornping Hospital in Chiang Mai, Pharmacist Sompong Khamsan, Head of the Pharmaceutical Group from Lamphun Hospital and Dr. Ngamphit Chanthip, MD. from San Sai Hospital, Chiang Mai Province were recipients as the representatives of those hospitals at the Council Meeting Room, 5th Floor in the University Office Building of Maejo University.
