On Sunday of February 21, 2021, Dr. Amnuay Yosuk, Chair of the Maejo University Council, chaired the first “Perm Phun Trees” Ceremony in Maejo Centennial Botanical Park, and Associate Professor Dr. Weeraphon Thongma, the President of Maejo University, reported to the Chair. On this occasion, there were several important personnel of the university attended the ceremony, such as the Chair of the Maejo Alumni Association, the Chair of University Activity Promotion Committee, the Chair of University Personnel, university administrators, personnel, and student leaders. The event was held at the field of Wang Sai, Maejo University in Chiang Mai Province.
Maejo Centennial Botanical Park Project is to promote and create an attractive area for more visitors and to use the space more beneficial. The university and Maejo University Alumni have foreseen the importance of the area at the left side of Wang Sai as a learning medium for teaching outside the classroom in various relevant disciplines. Under the Maejo Centennial Botanical Park Project, the area to be operated is 10,499 square meters by adjusting its physical environment, creating a plant learning base and big trees of Thailand as well as making it a model for sustainable building management.
