Architecture students from the Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design of Maejo University won 4 awards from the competition on “Outstanding Thesis Contest 2020 (Main Architecture)” organized by the Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage and the Council of Deans of the Faculties of Architecture of Thailand. Students from many educational institutions in architecture nationwide joined the event and sent their theses/works to the contest. Out of 188 theses/works, the 5th–year students from the Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design sent in 10 and won 4 rewards from 3 theses/works in the area of Main Architecture (Lanna Region) as follows:

· The 1st Place Award, the Outstanding Thesis of the Year 2020 in Main Architecture (Lanna Region) and the Outstanding Thesis Award in Community/City/Conservation Category, named “Ban Pin Railway Station: 105 Years in Memories” was the work of Mr. Man-sruang Pansuk, a 5th -year student in Architecture Program.

· A Should-Be Published Award in Creativity/Experiment Category named “Pavilion Project of Bang Pla-Soi Sub-district, Muang District in Chonburi Province” was the work of Miss. Natakarn Lehliam, a 5th-year student in Architecture Program.

· A Should-Be Published Award in Community/City/Conservation Category named “Big Market Community Project of Takua-Pa Sub-district, Takua-Pa District in Phang-Nga Province” was the work of Miss Jutarat Tatskarn, a 5th-year student in the Architecture Program.

Asst. Prof. Phansak Phakdi, Deputy Dean for Special Mission Affairs and Networks of the Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design of Maejo University said, “These awards are important for every student who dedicated and dreamed of them. They are also measures of the curricula that show their identity and philosophy and emphasize geopolitical importance and the environment. They

can answer professional questions which the Bachelor of Architecture Program in Architecture and Environmental Design of Maejo University has been certified by the Architecture Council. They can make the students be quality graduates who are capable of doing professional work with pride.”
