On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Faculty of Economics of Maejo University organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with the Regional Environmental Office 1 of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Before the cooperation signing ceremony began, there was a special lecture on “Knowledge and understanding about the problem of haze in Chiang Mai Province” delivered by Mr. Rapeesak Malai-Rungsakul, Director of the Regional Environmental Office 1 and followed by a presentation on “A Chiang Mai Haze Awareness Survey” presented by the Center for Agricultural Economic Research and Forecasting (Maejo Poll) of the Faculty of Economics at Maejo University.
The duration of the memorandum of understanding between Maejo University (Faculty of Economics) by Assistant Professor Dr. Jamnian Yosraj, Former President of Maejo University, and the Regional Environmental Office 1, Ministry of Resources and Environment by Mr. Rapeesak Malai-Rungsakul, Director of the Regional Environmental Office 1 is 3 years. The main purpose of the MOU is to solve environmental problems sustainably by both organizations jointly agree to support, promote and provide academic service as well as to conduct research studies on the applications of geospatial technology to support environmental operations. The MOU signing ceremony was held in the University Council Meeting Room, 5th Floor in the Office of the University Building.
