On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, Mr. Povin Chamniprasat, the governor of Chiang Mai Province presided over the opening ceremony of the 7th Anniversary of The Queen Mother’s Birthday on August 12, 2016, and planted the forest on the land of 907-rai Ban Poeng Farm to create “Ban Poeng Forest Model”, the nearest perfect forest of Chiang Mai at the Farm Office of Maejo University. The Farm Office led more than 1,000 students, faculty members, supporting staff, and people in the community to join in the restoration of the upstream forest of “Ban Poeng Project in The Royal Initiative” to pay tribute to the royal family in unison.
