On Friday, June 26, 2015, the School of Renewable Energy held a ceremony to deliver and open a solar energy rice mill. Assistant Professor Dr. Natthawut Dusadee, the Director of the School of Renewable Energy, reported to Lecturer Rachata Chuewirote, the Vice President for Personnel and Physical Development as the representative of Maejo University to receive a solar energy rice mill from Thai Agency Engineering Co., Ltd. It was honored by Dr. Amnuay Yossuk, the President of the University Council to preside over the opening ceremony. The Renewable Energy School built a house to install a solar energy rice mill with a supporting fund from Thai Agency-Energy Co., Ltd. for 120,000 Baht. The company also supported financially for the design of the construction of the rice mill, a solar dryer dome, and rice silos. This included solar energy rice filling bag machines with a capacity of 20 kg per hour and machinery in totaling approximately 800,000 baht. Besides, the school received an Organic Rankine Cycle power plant prototype from Tanita Fabricating Co., Ltd. which was worth approximately 2,500,000 baht.
