Maejo University Organized “MJU Car Free Day 2021 Activity” to Join the International Car Free Day Campaign and to Help Drive the Green University Project.

On September 23, 2021, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University presided over the opening of the MJU Car Free Day 2021 activity, which the Green University Committee, Maejo University in cooperation with the Green office Committee, Office of the University, and the Division of Physical Systems and Environment organized to join the campaign of World Car Free Day.

On this occasion, there was a plaque award ceremony for the eight (8) faculties and office units that supporting the Green University strategy by participating in the Green Office activities , including the Faculty of Economics, Office of the University, Library, Faculty of Science, Student Affairs Center, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Information and Communication, and Faculty of Animal Science and Technology. The ceremony was held at the courtyard in front of the Office of the University building.

After that, bicycle convoys of administrators, staff, and students were released from the courtyard in front of the office of the university building along the path surrounding the university for a distance of 2 km. through a new exercise route along the university fence line that has been improved to be more comfortable, beautiful, and safe (A distance of 800 m.), and then cycle to the end at the courtyard in front of the office of the university building. All activities have been organized under strictly preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 disease.
