Faculty of Science, Maejo University, Maejo University, organized the “Children Love the World, Reduce Waste to Zero” project.

On Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Faculty of Science, Maejo University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saenwasan Yodkham, Assistant President of Maejo University, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Kids Love the World, Zero Waste” project, organized by the Master of Science Program in Environmental Technology, Faculty of Science, Maejo University.
Ten schools and a total of 200 students participated in the project at the Faculty of Science, Maejo University.
The project aims to instill in youth the concept of waste reduction, waste separation, and waste value creation. It also aims to improve attitudes, behaviors, and awareness of waste disposal. It also aims to establish youth networks and promote community waste management through collaboration between households, communities, and local agencies.
Assistant Professor Dr. Mujlin Phonchan and a team of speakers from the Waste and SDGs Steering Committee, Environmental Division, participated in the project and visited the Maejo University Library Office’s waste management system. They also provided guidance on solutions and effective waste management for the future, transforming waste into something good. Doing good is possible.
