On September 8, 2021, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President, represents Maejo University to receive the ASEAN Energy Awards 2021, a project of the School of Renewable Energy, Maejo University that has been selected to represent Thailand in the ASEAN Energy Awards 2021 via online system. (Link signal from Brunei) On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Nuttawut Dusadee, Vice President, and representatives from School of Renewable Energy which are Assistant Professor Dr. Nikran Homduang, Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Yingrak Attavejkul, Associate Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Kittikorn Sasuchit, Assistant Dean, and Associate Professor Dr. Nattaporn Chaiyat, the coordinator of the project together with the university administrators joined the awarding ceremony at Inthanin Room, 2nd floor, the Office of the University Building, Maejo University.

The ASEAN Energy Awards 2021 is organized by the ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE), which has ten (10) ASEAN countries, namely Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Brunei, submitting a large number of projects to participate in the competition. Energy Conservation (DEDE) The Ministry of Energy has selected two (2) important renewable energy projects of Maejo University as follows:
– Project: The Utilization of Low Temperature Geothermal Energy for a Combined Cooling Heating and Power (CCHP) System, which is the project of Associate Prrofessor Dr. Nattaporn Chaiyat, Excellence Center on Environmental Friendly Smart Agriculture and Renewable Energy Technology (ECoT), Maejo University.

Awarded: The Winner of the Special Submission, Category of the ASEAN Renewable Energy Project Awards 2021

– Project: The Rooftop Photovoltaic Power Plant for Energy Saving of Academic Building (School of Renewable Energy, Maejo University), which is the project of Assistant Professor Dr. Natthawud Dussadee, Vice President of Maejo University.

Awarded: The 1st Runner Up of the Power under Off Grid Category of the ASEAN Renewable Energy Project Awards 2021 (In this category there is no winner at the ASEAN level)
