On Thursday, July 2, 2020, Associate Professor Dr. Weeraphon Thongma, President of Maejo University chaired the opening of the Big Cleaning Day for the year 2020 of the University Office and gave directions on how to do Green Office activities aiming at being a Green University. He encouraged its personnel to do their best.

The main objectives of Green Office Project are  to make the personnel of all university organizations aware of environmental protection, energy saving (including oil, electricity and water), choosing appropriate materials, equipment and appliances for the workplace, and the value of being environmentally friendly. The University Office (formerly, Office of the President) has started participating in the project since January 16, 2017. It has organized several activities to support the project continuously. As a result of its performance, it was awarded the Green Office Award 2017 (GREEN OFFICE) at Excellent level from the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion. This Big Cleaning Day activity is for the tidiness of the office building and the preparation for the Green Office Assessment of the year 2020, as well as to drive the university’s Green University policy jointly.
